1. What these terms cover

These terms apply to the website maya-story.com and to every book order placed through it. The site is run and the books are sold by LUKA BOOKS; the books presented here are written by Maja Cvetković Sotirov.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. The terms may change; a change takes effect when it is published on this page, and the date of the last change is given at the bottom.

2. Content and copyright

The texts, photographs, illustrations, covers and all other material on this site are copyrighted works protected by law.

You are free to read everything published here, share links to the site's pages, and quote short passages as long as you credit the source and the author.

Without the author's written permission you may not:

• copy and republish texts, photographs or illustrations elsewhere,
• use any part of the content for commercial purposes,
• alter, translate or adapt the content.

Photographs from book launches, fairs and reader meet-ups are published with the consent of those pictured. If you recognise yourself in a photograph and would like it removed, write to [email protected] and it will be taken down.

3. Ordering books

Books are ordered by filling in the short form in My Bookshop or on an individual book's page. No account is needed, and none can be created.

A submitted form is your offer to buy. The contract is concluded when you receive an order confirmation at the e-mail address you entered.

An order may be declined if the book is unavailable or if the details in the form are incomplete or incorrect. You will be told by e-mail, and no payment obligation arises.

Prices are shown in RSD and include all applicable taxes.

4. Payment

Payment is on delivery only — you hand the amount to the courier when you collect the parcel.

The site does not accept card payments, has no online checkout, and at no point collects details of your cards or bank accounts.

5. Shipping

Shipping costs 450 RSD. For 2 or more books in a single order, delivery is free.

Orders are delivered by courier to the address given in the order. Delivery time depends on the courier and is usually a few working days from the order confirmation.

For larger quantities, gift sets and orders from abroad, please arrange the details at [email protected].

6. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the book, without giving a reason.

Withdrawal is declared at [email protected]. The book is returned unused and undamaged within 14 days of that declaration. You bear the cost of the return, except where the book delivered was the wrong one or was damaged. The amount paid is refunded no later than 14 days after the returned book arrives.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to books personalised at your express request — above all to copies inscribed with a dedication written for a particular person.

7. Complaints

If your copy arrives damaged, incomplete or incorrect, write to [email protected] and attach a photograph. You will receive an answer within eight days of the complaint, and the book will be replaced or the money refunded.

8. Liability

The content of this site is maintained with care, but it cannot be guaranteed to be free of error at every moment. Obvious mistakes in price, description or availability are not binding on the seller; should such a mistake appear in an order already placed, you will be told before dispatch and the order can be cancelled at no cost to you.

The site links to third-party pages — bookshops, social networks and media coverage. Those pages have their own rules and we are not responsible for their content.

9. Personal data

The details you leave in the order form are handled as described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia.

A misunderstanding is settled fastest by a message to [email protected] — every one of them is answered. If a dispute is not resolved by agreement, a consumer also has the right to out-of-court dispute resolution before a body on the list kept by the ministry responsible for consumer protection, and the competent court in the Republic of Serbia has jurisdiction.
